Here we go!

Well, it's been a few weeks since we set-up this blog, but we've had no time to sit down and write anything. So here it goes.

It's been a crazy few months. It seems that I was not home all August - especially the weekend. I think the neighbors are taking bets if I'll get the flower beds set-up and the mulch spread before the first snowfall. Thank goodness we haven't gotten much rain lately, or the grass (crabgrass actually) would be up to the roof by now.

The beginning of August saw us packing the whole family up into the "family truckster"

and hitting California. We tied into a work trip and visited our Friends-Pri, Matt, Sanjay, and Maya in San Francisco. Here are some pictures of us at Muir Woods and in San Francisco.

We then spent three days motoring down the Pacific Coast Highway. It is an extremely beautiful drive if you don't have to worry about fog, nightfall and stir crazy kids. Here are a few pictures of us at the Monterey Aquarium (Yep, Rory took the photo of Carol and I).

We completed our migration by spending a few days in Newport Beach. The kids definitely got into the LA lifestyle.

It seemed like no sooner had we got home, got our laundry done, then hit the road again to spend a long weekend in the Poconos with our Friends - Rob, Karen, Andrew and David. Though the accommodations, Daniels on the Pocono's, were a little worn (blame it on creative Internet marketing and the weather wasn't great, it was great to be able to spend a few days with friends. We were able to get out and do some fishing, hike Bushkill Falls, and enjoy time relaxing.

Now that September has rolled around, we've been able to slow down somewhat. Rory has started school. He goes five days a week for about 4.5 hours/day. By Friday, he is completely wiped out. Anne is going to a home childcare program for4 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday. Both kids are really enjoying themselves and though Carol appreciates the break, I think she misses having the kids home. Here are pictures of their first days at school.

Carol continues to work towards her MA teaching certificate. She has one more test to take. While she was taking her test, the kids and I visited the Springfield science museum. The highlight was seeing the Dr. Seuss statues all around the museum quadrangle. Here are some pictures.

Okay. I'm getting tired of typing, and you're probably tired of reading. We'll try to be more prompt on adding to the blog, which should help limit the length. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Everyone!

We have blog. Rob was just showing me how to do it. This picture is of Rory and Anne with our friend's daughter, Maya, at their house in San Francisco. They are soaking their feet in the "water feature" in their backyard. More later...
